The vineyard is located in the center of the town of Lalande de Pomerol, an exception terroir at the heart of the vineyards of Saint Emilion, Pomerol is Fronsac.

Near the Dordogne and the Isle river, the vineyard is protected on the southern flank west by the mound of Fronsac. The soil is clay.

From ancient alluvium, the soils has significant traces of iron oxide, called «iron dross», terroir that is also found in Pomerol.
